WAYS TO GET OUT OF BAD SITUATIONS: Correct, bad and good situations happen to all of us. Unfortunately, it’s our nature to dwell on the bad ones. We become confused, and frustration leads to a pattern of failure

We have to move on eventually when something bad occurs; and the faster you do it, the sooner you’ll improve your situation

Accept the lemons.

What’s done is done. There’s no point in singing or worrying about your mistakes. The past as passed and cannot be changed. Instead, use your ability to impact the future.

Acknowledge the Situation

Sometimes some people try to stay in denial when they face a bad situation. However, the longer you try to avoid the problem, the longer it will take to access it.

Acknowledge the situation reaming, regardless of how you feel about it. Be prepared to face the problem head on so you can get through it. Even if you can’t resolve the situation, acknowledging it can help you accept it and move on.

You become your own best friend

In some places, the bad situation means being totally, 100% on your own. It’s a terrible feeling, but it can still teach you something new and change your life.

When you only have yourself to rely on, you will always have two choices. You can continue to be cruel to your own self, thus removing your only form of support. Or you can be good to yourself, bolstering your support, so you sussed.

Becoming your own best friend, and treating yourself the way you’d treat someone you care about, is a bad positive ways forward in personal development. It shows that, even when you’re totally alone, you’ll be fine, because you still have yourself.

Listen to music.

It reduces stress and can get your groove on. You can listen to any music, and any artist as long as you admire it.

However, stay away from music that reminds you of a ugly situation, such as breakup or death playlist.

Put it in perspective

You often can’t prepare for a bad situation. It comes around the corner without alarm and turns the understandable structure of your life upside down. The new situation can often seem overwhelming and threatening.

But is the situation really that ugly?

Consider the steps in which the situation is not as bad as it may look like and more importantly, always remind yourself that it will pass. We target to defined situations as threatening because they are new, unfamiliar or unexpected and we are faced with new challenges.

You learn to ask for help

You can’t do all the job on your own. Or, if you can, it may not be the considerable or most positive step to go about it. It’s acceptable to need help, and it’s tolerable to ask for help. Other people can provide you with diverse perspectives that you may not be able to see.

Here are some ways you can inquire for help:

  • Reach out to a friend or family member
  • Ask help from a therapist or counselor
  • Find support groups, whether online or in-person
  • Talk to someone you trust for advice
  • Inquire for a deadline extension from a teacher, boss, or client

Learning to inquire for help can dramatically change your life. This doesn’t mean you stop being independent. It means you become secure enough in yourself that you’re comfortable inquiring assistance when you need it. There are many things in life that are simply good together, after all!

Make acceptance an immediate priority.

Dealing with a bad condition can be a lot like dealing with grief, and people always go through the same stages: shock and denial, pain and guilt, anger and bargaining, and many more.

You might not be able to fully clamp down your emotions, but you can decide to accept what’s happened, despite of how you feel about it. The sooner you admit it, the sooner you can act from any where you are, which is the only step to change how you feel.

Life isn’t always rainbows and butterflies. You’re going to have ups and downs along the way. What’s important is that you don’t let those bad times define you and the way you live your life.

Instead of wallowing in misery whenever bad things occur, take your life in your own hands. Find the ways that you can become a better person through these negative circumstances. When you finally overcome the situation, you’ll be stronger, smarter, and much improved!
