- Talk to someone you trust for advice
- Inquire for a deadline extension from a teacher, boss, or client
Learning to inquire for help can dramatically change your life. This doesn’t mean you stop being independent. It means you become secure enough in yourself that you’re comfortable inquiring assistance when you need it. There are many things in life that are simply good together, after all!
Make acceptance an immediate priority.
Dealing with a bad condition can be a lot like dealing with grief, and people always go through the same stages: shock and denial, pain and guilt, anger and bargaining, and many more.
You might not be able to fully clamp down your emotions, but you can decide to accept what’s happened, despite of how you feel about it. The sooner you admit it, the sooner you can act from any where you are, which is the only step to change how you feel.
